Arts and crafts storage is one of the most important tools for a crafter. Keeping materials organized and easily accessible makes creating a lot more fun. Arts and crafts storage does not have to be complicated. The best way to create art storage is to design a system that works. This will be different from person to person. The important thing to remember is how necessary good storage is when it comes to crafting. Crafters who work in cluttered, chaotic spaces are going to enjoy their art less than those who have organized, enjoyable spaces. Not only that, projects will be more successful and crafting will cost less money in the long run.

Here are some of my favorite organizational tools for the home.
1) Lazy Susan
Thanks to the soul who invented this little item! They're cheap, and help keep spices, bottles, and condiments neatly arranged and at your fingertips. Use them in the pantry, in cabinets, on the kitchen table - they're absolutely life savers when it comes to staying organized.
2) Plastic Basket for Lids
Plastic containers - a double edged sword! One the one hand they keep me organized and save tons of time in the kitchen, especially. But searching through ten thousand lids that don't fit can drive a person nutty. I use a plastic basket for all my lids so they're in one spot when I go looking.
3) A Triple Swing-out Towel Holder
Put these under your kitchen and bathroom sinks to save space and keep your sink area uncluttered. Use it to hold towels, cleaning rags, trash bags, etc.
4) Place a few strong adhesive hooks in the laundry room - these can be used for hanging coats, clothes, etc. Hooks are great to hang up mops, brooms and other cleaning supplies, too.
5) Plastic Baggies with Zipper Locks
How did our ancestors survive without them? Baggies are perfect to store small toys, puzzle pieces, and any little items that go together in one spot. The two-gallon sized ones are my favorite.
6) A Labeler
These don't have to be expensive to work. And having containers and shelf spaces labeled is a great way to help children keep their items organized, as well as yourself. Do yourself a favor use a labeler for a week, and you'll wonder hoe you ever lived without one.
7) A Compartment Tray for Your Junk Drawer
Occasionally, I actually open my junk drawer to search for something! Having miscellaneous items in little compartments of the tray will save you time and frustration when you go searching.
8) A TV Remote Holder
How much time have you wasted looking for this little item? Make or purchase a holder for your remote, or put velcro on the back and stick it someplace near the couch.
9) Laundry Sorting Bin
Less than ten bucks, these bins help keep your dirty laundry organized, so that when you're ready to wash the whites, they're all in the same spot. No more digging through a giant hamper to find the right clothes! This makes laundry time so much simpler!
10) Two-tiered Spice Racks
These cabinet organizers save time and hassle in the kitchen. How many times have you searched for the oregano - behind the cinnamon, no - the nutmeg...Wait -where was the nutmeg? You get the idea.
These items are by no means all the great organizing tools out there, but they're my choices for time saving and hassle free living!
Here are some organize workspace tips to help you get your office in order. Quite simply, you spend a huge portion of your life at work, and if this part of your life is not order, you'll never achieve nearly amount of work that you otherwise would. In fact, by simply organizing your items, you can not only be more productive at work, but your income can rise as well.
So how do you start to get your office organized? First of all, you need to get your desk organized, which is where you probably do the vast majority of your work. For this, simply keep all the items that you absolutely need at your desk, and remove the ones you don't.
Don't worry about those items that you remove for now; you can put those into storage place or the trash later on. Once you've done this, make sure that all your related items still on your desk are together, such as pencils, papers, etc.
A great way to organize your papers is to get a filing cabinet and color-code it according to which papers go where. For example, you might put your most important papers on the bottom shelf, your second most important papers in the second shelf above, etc.
This way, you'll never lose your papers due to a lack of organization your desk. Remember, trying to keep your papers in your desk can be a nightmare because you can almost never find what you want when you need.
The best ways to keep your office organized is to simply throw away items when you're done using them. Unfortunately, most people simple keep papers that they know they'll never use later on, for the fact that they might in a few years down the road.
This is how stacks of papers get built upon a desk, even only about 1% of them are actually being used. Only keep things you know you will be using later on. Look around you; if you see items sitting around you haven't used for at least the last 6 months, discard them now.
If you haven't made use of them in this time period, chances are that you never will. Don't lie to yourself; get rid of them now.
Remember, your workspace is one of the most important areas of your life, because you spend so much time there. It is just as important to organize your workspaces as it is your own home. You will never get nearly the amount of work done without an organized workspace as you would if you can simply know exactly where everything was every step of the time.
The average US executive loses six weeks each year simply looking for things amidst their clutter.
